Trail Street Medical Centre is a private billing practice. We are not able to provide quality healthcare and maintain our well trained and experienced staff for the cost of the Medicate rebate. We do bulk bill children under 16 years of age and aged pensioners.
A cancellation fee will not apply if your appointment is cancelled within 2 hours of the appointment time. Appointments can be cancelled online or by calling our reception team to reschedule. We do have a waiting list, so we ask you to consider that other patients could make use of these appointments and contact us if you are unable to attend.
Should you have an urgent health issue on the day, please alert our reception staff so they can arrange an earlier appointment where possible. If you have a medical emergency call 000 immediately.
A non-attendance fee of $92.10 will be billed in the event of non-attendance. Further appointments will not be ableto be scheduled until the account is brought up to date.
If you feel you need to speak with your doctor regarding an important issue, please contact the surgery and the reception staff will transfer the call to the practice nurse where possible. Our nurse will speak with the doctor on your behalf if the doctor is unable to speak with you directly.
If your doctor wishes to discuss your recent results, you will receive a text message requesting an appointment or our reception staff will be in contact with you to make an appointment. If you have not heard from the practice and still wish to gain the recent results, please call the practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 2:00PM – 2:30PM and ask to speak with the practice nurse.
If the result is URGENT we will contact you on the day and if unsuccessful we will contact your next of kin or the emergency contact person you have nominated. Please ensure you keep your contact details updated at all times.
Patient email addresses are collected as part of the New Patient registration process and regularly updated. Our email inbox is not routinely monitored for patient care. Please call the practice on 02 6921 3990 during our office hours to ensure that your request is actioned in a timely fashion.
Verbal patient consent must be obtained in order to email correspondence as the practice email is not a secure messaging service or encrypted platform.
After Hours Care
Trail Street Medical Centre is affiliated with 13CURE (132 873) Home Doctor Service. This service operates Monday-Friday 6.00pm-8.00am and Saturday from 12.00pm. Sunday and public holidays 24 hours.
In the case of an emergency, call 000. Wagga Wagga Base Hospital Emergency Department is available 7 days per week 24 hours per day to assist you in an emergency and can be contacted on 02 5943 1000.
We have a SMS reminder system that will contact you for follow up routine recalls and reminders. Please let reception staff know if you wish to opt out of this service.

This medical practice has a Zero Tolerance for abusive or threatening behavior directed against staff or patients. This includes shouting, swearing, threats, name calling, racist comments and inappropriate gestures.
Without exception, abusers will be required to leave the clinic immediately and transfer their medical care to another practice. Refusal to leave will result in the police being called.
